In Auvergne, in the Sancy mountains, Sylvie and her family will receive you warmly in their "bed and breakfast", an old farm which was restored a few years ago.

The farm is located at Escladines in the commune of Tauves, in Puy de Dôme, a village of craftmen near La Bourboule (spa).

The 5 bedrooms with private bathroom are decorated differently and offer a vew of the country. You could connect to internet with wifi.

You will discover the Auvergne volcanoes (Puy de Dôme and Sancy mountains), the lakes, the castles, the romanesque churches, the museums, without forgetting Vulcania , the volcanoes european center.

We will lend you hiking guides and advise you on the sites to visit

Activities for everybody all along the year (summer and winter)...

During winter, you can ski (the ski resorts: Mont-Dore, Super-Besse, Chastreix Sancy for the families)

In spring and summer, many hiking trails will allow you to discover our wonderful volcanic landscapes ....Near the house, you can rent horses.

Our services...

A hearty breakfast: coffee, tea, chocolate ... Fresh bread, pastries or homemade cake, homemade jams, yogurt and cheese, orange juice, seasonal fruits.

The table d'hôte is offered in the evening. Once or twice a week except Saturdays and Sundays and except In July and August (cold plate with salad, cold meats and cheese on request at 15 euros per person, once or twice a week), on reservation 48 hours before with a minimum of 4 guests.

The house and its environment

The house is located at Escladines (hamlet name) in a quiet and green environment, it is a beautiful countryside with beautiful hiking trails that leave the house.

In the garden, several tables and chairs are available during the summer season.

You have a room with a space "snack" (fridge, sink, microwave, herbal teas and soluble coffee) and a TV .

From 77 to 80 euros for two, breakfasts included in the rooms CHAVANON, SANCY and BANNE D'ORDANCHE.

From 80 to 83 euros for two, breakfasts included in the rooms DORDOGNE and ESCLADINES

The lower price is the nightly rate for stays of 3 nights or more.

The price for one person is 68 or 71 euros depending on the rooms with a reduction of 3 euros for stays of 3 nights or more.

Family package (2 adults + 2 children (from 2 to 14 years)):

-130 euros per night for stays of 3 nights or more

The price of the table d'hôtes: 29 euros per person (Apéritif, starter, main course, cheese, dessert, herbal tea or coffee)

En winter:

-The 3 ski resorts of the Sancy mountain: Le Mont-Dore, Chastreix-Sancy et Super-Besse

-The nordic ski area: la Stèle (snowshoes and cross-country skiing) .

In spring, summer and Automn:

Near the house (from 5 minutes to 40 minutes from the house):

-The village of Tauves, its listed church, its rural crafts, its market on Thursday morning.

-From the house, 4 loops of hikes: The Plantades, the Granges, the Chaleille, the Burandou

-The many trails in the Sancy massif for all levels (we will lend you IGN maps and hiking guides)

-The spas of La Bourboule and Mont-Dore, visit the classified thermal baths

-The Banne d'Ordanche (panoramic site and junction with Guéry Lake on a hike)

-Vulcania and the Puy de Dôme (access to the summit with the panoramic Domes), this landscape is classified world heritage of unesco.

-The Puy de Pariou and its crater

-Saint-Nectaire and its Romanesque basilica

-Murol, its medieval castle with animated tours and Lake Chambon (swimming)

-Orcival and its Romanesque basilica

-The museum of Toinette and the barn of Julien in Murat-le-quaire

-The Tour d'Auvergne and its lake for swimming

-The medieval village of Besse

-Lake Pavin

-The dam of Bort Les Orgues, the castle of Val and its beach, the boat trips on the Dordogne

For the reservation, minimum 2 nights, we will send you a booking contract, to print, sign and return to us and we ask for a deposit of 25% with a minimum of one night per room booked.

For the months of June, July, August, September, the holidays of February; Christmas, we give priority to long stays (minimum 3 nights)
